Ayrton Senna Mizuno race used shoes. Used during the 1992 Canadian GP. "1992 CGP" inscriptions written inside the shoes. They show heavy signs of use, they are exceptional pieces.

There was a change in Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Canada with Senna taking his 61st career pole position ahead of Patrese, Mansell, Berger, Schumacher and Herbert. At the start, Mansell got ahead of Patrese and behind them Brundle was able to get by Herbert. The order was: Senna, Mansell, Patrese, Berger, Schumacher and Brundle.

The race settled down for the first 14 laps but then on lap 15, Mansell attacked Senna at the final chicane and hit a kerb, pushing his car into the air. It landed nose-first into the gravel and spun back onto the track. Mansell claimed that Senna had pushed him off the track. He was out and this forced Patrese to slow down and suddenly Berger went through to second. Senna then began to pull away from the field and the stops changed nothing. Senna still led Berger, Patrese, Schumacher, Brundle and Herbert. Herbert went out on lap 34 with clutch troubles.

Senna lost a certain victory when electrical failure put him out on lap 38. Behind them, Brundle passed Schumacher for third and this became second when Patrese's gearbox failed on lap 44. However, Brundle only lasted for two more laps before he retired with transmission trouble. Berger won from Schumacher, Alesi, Wendlinger, de Cesaris and Érik Comas.

These gloves are outstanding pieces. They have been used during the 1992 Belgium / SPA GP. It was Schumacher's first victory in F1. We are currently framing the gloves.

On this day in 1992, Michael Schumacher won for the first time in his F1 career in front of two Williams drivers Nigel Mansell and Riccardo Patrese after switching to dry tyres at the right moment.

Mansell won a commanding pole position with 2.198 seconds ahead of Senna and 2.676 seconds ahead of third-placed Schumacher, but race was held in very wet conditions.

In 1991, Schumacher debuted at Spa in Jordan, having qualified in seventh place, but quickly dropped out of the race due to car failure. But a year later, the German secured his first out of a total of 91 career wins.

The race was led by four drivers, Mansell led for 25 laps, Schumacher 11, Senna 5 and Patrese 3 while Schumacher was third after 30 laps behind Mansell and Patrese. At that point, the Germans went on the grass shortly, after which he and the team decided that it was time to try to move to dry tyres.

That gamble paid off very well because Schumacher overtook Mansell who changed the tyres three laps later and returned 5.7 seconds behind German. Mansell reduced the gap to three seconds, but the problem with the Renault V10 engine forced him to give up the chase for Schumacher. He finished second, 36.6 seconds behind Schumacher while Patrese finished third, 43.9 seconds behind the winner.

“I had a good feeling this weekend, I do not know why, but when I was in the motorhome, I was thinking of a possible victory, but I was only third or fourth, but everything changed!,” commented the delighted Schumacher.

“I got in the dry tyres at the perfect moment, I had a chance to win and decided to try. I was really happy to win without someone having an accident or a car problem, it was a direct fight. Car was better than in qualifying and I thank my team for that. ”“When I went wide in Stavelot, I missed the apex and I turned too late. I was lucky I did not hit the barriers, Martin passed me and I saw that his tyres were blistering so I decided to get in the pits for new tyres right away. Tonight we will have a great celebration for CAMEL BENETTON FORD!”

Schumacher’s victory at the Belgian Belgian is also the last victory for a car with the classic H-Shift pattern. After that, all races were won with sequential gearboxes with gear changing levers behind the steering wheel, pioneered by Ferrari 640 in 1989.

On 30th July 2000, Rubens Barrichello won the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim. It was the Brazilian’s first Formula 1 victory and he came out on top at the end of a what has to be said was a fairly unusual race: it was neutralised three times, once because of a track invasion and then the final stages were run in the rain. Starting from eighteenth, Rubens staged a great climb up the order and did an amazing job of keeping the F1-2000 on track in the wet over the final laps, having chosen to stay out on track on slicks, while the two McLarens of Hakkinen and Coulthard opted to switch to rain tyres. This win proved highly useful in slowing the Finn’s pursuit of Schumacher for the title, the German having had to retire right from the start, after being immediately hit by Fisichella.

The race was also memorable for Rubens’ tears on the podium, where in his excitement, he did an entertaining dance. “I still don’t believe it!” he said. “What happened is amazing. I’d been told that, when you are in the lead, the final lap is the longest and now I can tell you it’s really true.”
