Kerpen, Germany, dated 17 May 2000

PROVENANCE
Awarded as third-place prize at a "Ferrari – Team – Event" held at the Michael Schumacher Kart-Center, Kerpen, on 17 May 2000 — the height of Schumacher's tenure at Ferrari and the year that would culminate in his first World Championship for the Scuderia. The plaque carries two signatures in facsimile: Schumacher's own logo-signature beside his name and title, and a second, "invited by," identifying the guest under whose invitation the event was held.

CATALOGUE NOTE
Team events of this kind — informal, invitation-only gatherings staged away from the Grand Prix calendar — offer a rare window onto the private side of the Ferrari operation during its most successful modern era. Hosted at Schumacher's own karting facility rather than a circuit or corporate venue, this event placed sponsors, colleagues and guests directly into karts on Schumacher's home ground, with silverware awarded in playful mimicry of a full championship podium. Dated precisely to 17 May 1999, in the run-up to that season's title-winning campaign, the trophy is a document of the camaraderie surrounding the team as much as it is an object of sport. The autograph to the bowl, boldly rendered and consistent with Schumacher's hand at this period, was applied to the trophy itself rather than to a separate certificate.

CONDITION
The silver plate retains a bright, well-kept lustre overall, with light handling marks and minor surface scratching commensurate with age; the glass finial is intact and undamaged. The marble socle is stable, the engraved plaque crisp and fully legible. The autograph to the bowl is strong and bold, with no fading noted. As with the preceding lots, offered without a third-party letter of authenticity; condition report and further images available on request.
