A superb and highly desirable original race-worn helmet used by Al Unser Jr. during the peak of his early 1990s IndyCar career, representing the period surrounding his 1990 CART Championship and 1992 Indianapolis 500 victory—one of the most competitive eras in American open-wheel racing.

This Bell helmet is finished in Unser Jr.’s iconic Valvoline / Galles Racing livery, featuring a deep navy blue base accented with red, white, and light blue striping. Prominent sponsor branding includes Valvoline, Chevrolet, Molson, Kraco, Goodyear, and Galles, all consistent with period race photography. The helmet is further personalized with “AL UNSER, JR.” script along the lower edge and is hand-signed on the visor, enhancing its desirability and display appeal.

Of particular note is the presence of the integrated radio communication system, complete with external wiring and connectors, indicative of top-level IndyCar competition use. An exceptionally rare and striking Alfa Romeo official dealer illuminated sign, produced in March 1991 and preserved in remarkable condition despite more than three decades of age. This impressive double-sided display was originally installed at the Carli workshop in Treviso, an authorized Alfa Romeo dealership, and remained in continuous use for approximately 30 years in an official Alfa Romeo dealer in Rome.

The sign features vibrant original colours that remain remarkably vivid, a testament to the quality of period Alfa Romeo dealer branding. Illumination is provided by three internal neon tubes, producing a uniform glow that enhances both sides of the display. All original elements are present, including the factory wall mount and the authentic Alfa Romeo identification sticker still affixed to the side.
