A superb and evocative pair of pilot gloves worn by Ayrton Senna during his legendary 1989 supersonic flight with the Força Aérea Brasileira (FAB) Mirage III, later complemented by his 1990 experience aboard a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) F-111. Each glove bears a bold, hand-signed autograph by Senna, presented beautifully framed with photographs capturing the Brazilian Formula 1 icon in the cockpit — smiling, exhilarated, and fully immersed in his other great passion: flight.

In 1989, shortly after securing his first Formula 1 World Championship, Ayrton Senna visited the FAB airbase in Anápolis, Goiás, where his brother Leonardo Senna was stationed as a pilot. Fascinated by speed and precision beyond the racetrack, Senna personally requested to experience supersonic flight. Under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel Cortes, Senna’s Mirage III accelerated to Mach 1.4, with the champion briefly taking control of the aircraft himself — an experience that left a profound impression on him.

Two years later, in 1990, Senna was invited by the Royal Australian Air Force to fly aboard an F-111 ahead of the Adelaide Grand Prix. The event became another celebrated moment in the intertwining of motorsport and aviation history.
