GENUINE FERRARI "SALES AND SERVICE" ILLUMINATED DEALERSHIP SIGN Ferrari Club Italia — Circa 1990s
A commanding and highly decorative illuminated lightbox from the golden era of Ferrari dealership signage, produced under the auspices of Ferrari Club Italia and numbered 82 of a limited series of 99 — a rare instance of a period Ferrari sign carrying formal edition documentation, confirmed by the original label to the casing which also records the collaboration with Glasurit, Ferrari's longstanding official paint partner.
Executed in the unmistakable house style of Maranello's service network, the sign presents the word GENUINE in elegant serif capitals above the classic Ferrari script and "SALES AND SERVICE" legend, rendered in luminous giallo against a deep black ground. The left panel carries the full Ferrari Club Italia shield: the Cavallino Rampante beneath the Italian tricolore, glowing warmly when illuminated. The whole is housed in its original yellow-finished metal box frame with period fittings and wiring.
At an imposing 140 cm in width, this is a statement piece of exceptional presence — equally at home above a collector's garage, in a showroom, office or games room. The sign remains fully functional and illuminates evenly across its face, presenting beautifully both lit and unlit. The casing shows honest patina commensurate with age and period use: light edge wear, minor chips and surface marks to the yellow frame that speak to its authenticity as an original piece rather than a modern reproduction — exactly the character the discerning automobilia collector seeks.
Original Ferrari-associated illuminated signage of this period, with edition numbering and working illumination intact, is increasingly difficult to source, and the "Genuine Sales and Service" format is among the most desirable of all Ferrari sign designs.
