This is an exceptional piece. This Momo steering wheel was mounted on the Lotus 98T. Race used intensively by Ayrton Senna during several races, one of them being the 1986 Brazil GP. Ayrton Senna finished second behind Nelson Piquet. It is fully functional with original switches and command cables at the back. It has been hand signed by Ayrton Senna in white marker on the front.
The following marking is present on the back of the steering: "A.S/86"
It is accompanied by a John Player Team Lotus official certificate.
The race was won by local driver Nelson Piquet, driving a Williams-Honda, after he started from second position. Compatriot Ayrton Senna took pole position in his Lotus-Renault, but Piquet overtook him on lap 3 and went on to win from him by 34 seconds. Frenchman Jacques Laffite finished third in a Ligier-Renault.

It was the second race of the 1993 Formula One World Championship.
The 71-lap race was won by local hero Ayrton Senna, driving a McLaren-Ford, with Briton Damon Hill second in a Williams-Renault and German Michael Schumacher third in a Benetton-Ford. Senna was the last Brazilian driver to win his home race until Felipe Massa in 2006.
