A vintage pair of maroon Everlast boxing gloves previously owned and worn by the great Sugar Ray Robinson. The gloves show lots of use, but remain in good condition for their age. There are no rips or tears. The laces are still in place. They originate from the collection of American writer and film director Billy Folick. His father was an advertising executive in the 1960's and was tasked to create a pilot for a new show called "Training Day with Sugar Ray". Billy's two elder brothers were cast in the pilot, and both were gifted a pair of Ray's gloves. The gloves being sold here are one of those pairs. They come with an original, hand-signed letter of authenticity from Billy Frolick. Also included are copies of three photos of Ray and Billy's Dad on the shoot. Great opportunity to own a genuine pair of gloves that belonged to the former welterweight & middleweight champion, and all time pound-for-pound great. Complete with excellent provenance.
